Charles Colten Seminar March 2-3, 2013

Blue Heron Aikido welcomes Charles Colten Sensei (4th Dan) to Middlebury Vermont for a weekend seminar.Charles Colten is the director and chief instructor of Aikido in the Schools, which is committed to bringing the benefits of Aikido to youth in public and private schools. He also teaches privately to adults in New York City and gives Aikido seminars and workshops around the United States, Latin America, and Europe.His primary teachers are Endo Shihan, Jan Nevelius Sensei, and Jorma Lyly Sensei and he is extremely grateful to his other teachers who have influenced him deeply, including Sensei(s) Mary Heiny, Saotome Mitsugi, Ikeda Hiroshi, Yamashima Takashi, Okamoto Seigo, John Stone, and Robin Cooper.

This upcoming workshop will focus on musubi and soft ukemi.

Schedule:
Saturday March 2:

Children’s class* 10-11am,
Adult class 11:15am-12:30pm.
Lunch break.
Afternoon class 2:30-4:30pm.
Pot-luck dinner

Sunday March 3:

Adult class 10am-1pm

* Children’s class ages 7 and up, Adult classes ages 12 and up.

Cost: Sliding-scale $15-$30 per class
